In the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Xin Ri electric vehicle pavilion was well known by people. In fact, Jiangsu Xin Ri Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. The principle in the battery part of fitness and electric bicycles is the same, the sales volume of electric bicycles is very large and it has formed scale, and its battery technology is relatively mature, so it has a certain advantage to develop dirt bike. Currently, most electric bicycles use lead-acid battery, while electric cars use lithium-ion batteries. To develop electric cars, the lithium-ion electric bicycles should be developed. Mr. Ma Zhongchao, the chairman of China Bicycle Association, told reporters that at present, part of electric bicycles has used lithium-ion battery, the application of lithium battery in electric bicycle will play a tremendous role in Chinese future lithium motorcycle and lithium car development .
Although electric bicycle enterprises have confidence in the development of electric cars, but, after all, they are two concepts and have fundamental differences, how far their electric cars can go is still a doubt. Chen Kaiya recognized that the development of electric cars is more difficult, especially the technical promotion needs substantial human and material resources, the private enterprise such as Jiangsu Xin Ri may not have such capital strength, so it hopes to get policy support. Chen Ying said: “To develop electric cars, we will actively strive for national policy support, increase investment in technology and further improve the motor efficiency and extend atv battery life. At the same time, we also hope the government can increase the input in charging stations and some other infrastructure building, which is the premise of electric cars popularization.”
In addition to technical problems, the electric cars now produced by electric bicycles companies are low-speed electric vehicles; it also faces many problems in market promotion. According to Chen Ying’s description: “At present, China’s traffic management department doesn’t take low-speed electric scooters into the management scope of motor vehicle yet, Department of Motor Vehicles in many regions don’t give license to low-speed electric bike, which has made the low-speed electric vehicles can not legally go on the road. Simultaneously, the insurance company doesn’t give low-speed electric car insurance. These are the factors that restrict the low-speed electric cars to develop faster.” Some pole industry experts are not optimistic about the prospects of electric bicycle enterprises to develop electric cars. In their view, although the electric bicycle companies have certain advantages in the scooter battery, but the development of electric vehicles will involve many projects, and also need great investment. By the current view, the electric bicycle companies are still difficult to achieve greater breakthroughs in the field of electric cars.
